NEW MUSIC THIS WEEK

It’s our favourite time of the week… New Music Friday! Head over to our Spotify channel and check out our New Music Friday playlist to hear the latest releases from our Gigs in Scotland touring artists

‘We’re Good’ is the first new single of the year from Dua Lipa taken from Future Nostalgia – Moonlight Edition. The pop queen has been busy during the pandemic as this is the 2nd rendition of Future Nostalgia following on from the remix album Club Future Nostalgia with The Blessed Madonna in August last year. The accompanying video has a bold Titanic theme and already a contender for the best you’ll see in 2021

Abbie Ozard has returned with new EP Let’s Play Pretend. Lead single ‘breakdowns’, co-written with Easy Life collaborator Ben Matravers, sums up the mundanity of living in a place where nothing happens and yearning to break out into a world full of new endeavours. The overall sound of the EP has a 90’s alt rock vibe yet its songs would sit comfortably across many a pop playlist on today’s radio. Check it out here

Coatbridge punks Voodoos are back with new single ‘It’s Your Life.’ Gloriously upbeat and one that’s sure to go down a storm when the band play The Road To The Great Escape alongside a whole bunch of exciting new acts on 8th & 9th May. More info and tickets here

‘Take Control’, the latest single, from Bru-C follows second album Smile which reached over 20 million streams in the month of its release. Bru-C is the soldier in command today, an MC who can flip between genres easier than ever, a skill he shows off on here

‘Echoing’ is the latest preview of new Kings Of Leon album When You See Yourself following on from previous singles ‘The Bandit’ and ‘100,000 People.’ A rollicking drumbeat met with chiming guitars, this new song is the pick of the songs released so far. Speaking of the new album the Nashville band say “we’ve never worked harder on an album and I don’t think we’ve ever been more proud of one.” This is one we can’t wait to hear!
