NEW MUSIC THIS WEEK

It’s our favourite time of the week… New Music Friday! Head over to our Spotify channel and check out our New Music Friday playlist to hear the latest releases from our Gigs in Scotland touring artists

‘Remember Where You Are’ is a bright and glorious disco gospel that sees Jessie Ware and a host of backup vocalists sing, in a kind of cosmic soul melody. Jessie imagined the track as a dystopian scenario as a reminder to remember who you have close and hold onto them. It’s the curtain call to What’s Your Pleasure? a record that takes you from the heady basslines of a dingy nightclub to tomorrow’s sunrise. Be sure to catch Jessie at the O2 Academy show on 9th December. Tickets here

The Snuts premiered new single ‘Somebody Loves You’ on last night’s Annie Mac show on BBC Radio 1. The Whitburn band have partnered with the Scottish Refugee Council by donating their entire music video budget to the charity. Shot entirely on iPhones, lead singer Jack Cochrane spoke of the song's video by saying “It is exactly this sense of an expanding and welcoming community spirit we hope to portray with this video.” Excellent work from everyone involved!

Tiggs Da Author and Nines have built up a strong reputation for their collabs over the years and latest track ‘Fly ‘Em High’ is yet another banger from the pair. Tanzanian-born and London-based Tiggs says “This song speaks for itself, has a nice vibe and as always, is a little different. We don’t try to recreate. This is one of the pockets we haven’t explored before.” Tiggs drops his debut album Blame It On The Youts on 12th March via Alacran Records. Nines plays SWG3 on 4th May. Tickets available here

After taking some time away to write and record music throughout 2020, Fabric Bear have returned with new single ‘All I Want’ which is out now on 7 West Music. The Edinburgh band have released a series of catchy indie pop singles since their debut in 2018 and have declared their latest offering “the first of many planned” for this year. Looking forward to hearing what comes next!

Grime artist AJ Tracey has teamed up with emerging drill rapper Digga D for ‘Bringing It Back.’ The West London pair also appear in a new video directed by KC Locke which shows them recreating two of their most iconic freestyle videos to date. An effortless flow from start to finish shining a light on the UK’s ever rising contemporary hip hop scene
