Holly Humberstone

Holly Humberstone is a British musician from Grantham, England. In 2021, she signed a record deal with Interscope and Polydor Records. Her first EP following the signings, The Walls Are Way Too Thin, was released on 12 November 2021. She is also the recipient of the Brits Rising Star award 2022, picked out as the new artist whom the British music industry believes will have the biggest impact in the coming year. “I’m still in shock,” admits the 21-year-old singer-songwriter, whose thoughtful, highly-strung pop songs gained millions of listeners around the world during the pandemic. Holly played a SOLD OUT King Tut's in November 2021, and we can only hope she'll grace us with her presence once more in 2022 - watch this space!

Willow Kayne

Willow Kayne is far more than just a recording artist, she’s a total rockstar in her own right.  At 20 years old, she creates music inspired by real-life occurrences and events, creating her own landscape in the realm of pop, punk, hip-hop, soul, and trap. Beyond the music, it’s her style, unique flair, and out-of-this-world personality that fans already can’t get enough of. With a diverse pool of influences from fashion mogul Nigo and super producer Pharrell to Gorillaz and M.I.A, Willow effortlessly creates her own lane in this oversaturated music industry. She was recently awarded the Ivor Novello Rising Star Award, which allowed her the opportunity to work with and receive mentorship from icon Nile Rodgers, who has called her a ”genuine star in the making.” Therefore, we cant wait to see what this rising star has to offer us in 2022!

Baby Queen 

Although she’s only three singles into her journey, Baby Queen — aka South Africa-born, London-based musician Bella Latham — has already marked herself out as one of the most essential new voices in pop. Her debut offering ‘Internet Religion’, released back in May, skewered our extremely online existence and the identities we hide behind on social media, before July’s ’Buzzkill’ turned bringing all your friends down at a party into one of the most infectious bangers of 2020. The queen of the babies has just been announced as the support act for Olivia Rodrigo's UK leg of her Sour Tour plus she'll be gracing the King Tut's stage in April.

Central Cee 

Born in Ladbroke Grove and raised a stone’s throw away in Shepherd’s Bush, Central Cee – most people call him Cench – grew up in a part of the capital where a rich array of Black sounds, from reggae to jazz, dancehall to rap, have found expression and converged. Impressing with his short freestyles from as young as 14-years old, Cench originally fell under the trapwave genre through his use of autotune and melodies, as shown on his early 2017 EP 17, and Next Up? freestyle.

ENNY

Creating music from a young age, London-based rapper and singer ENNY is on a steep incline towards success in the UK music scene. From Nigerian heritage, the young musician is taking listeners by storm with her truthful and revealing lyrics based on her South-East London surroundings. Since refining her creative flair at Root 73, a Hackney-based collective, ENNY has been helping to pave the way of the flourishing female rap scene in the UK.

Lola Young

Fiercely independent and possessing a true artistic vision, 20-year-old Lola Young has all the potential, spirit and individuality to become the UK’s next biggest talent. Exceptionally talented with an undeniable creative focus, she is a musical force. Mimi Webb

With only four singles out, Mimi has done amazingly well in her career so far. Her debut single, ‘Before I Go’, was used by one of the biggest TikTok influencers on the planet, Charli D’Amelio, who shared the song with her 111.3 million followers. Since then, Webb has signed with Epic Records, gathered an immense 85 million Spotify streams, radio play worldwide, a live performance on The Ellen Show, and most recently, a top 10 chart position in the UK Singles Chart.

Wet Leg

The Wet Leg duo — Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers — hail from the Isle of Wight and are signed to indie powerhouse Domino Records, and set the alt world abuzz with their debut single and video "Chaise Lounge”, which has racked up 3 million streams and a million video views. Their sound is essentially a modern take on early ’80s post-punk, with stabby guitars and driving beats but big hooks that wouldn’t be out of place in a more conventional pop setting.​

Yard Act

It’s this potent narrative that has already marked them out from the crowd; despite Yard Act having only been able to play three shows to date, they’ve already bagged spots on the 6 Music playlist and have “been selling t-shirts to Brazil and America.” James is even working on a companion book, which began life as a 2,000 word short story and has now grown into a 30,000 word novella. Safe to say, they’ve gained an opportunity that - thanks to previous musical endeavours in Post War Glamour Girls and Menace Beach - isn’t lost on them.

Tems

Coming from the Nigerian music industry that’s had just a handful of women rise to the top, Tems breakout 2018 single “Mr Rebel'' was a breath of fresh air. Her powerful voice was the first thing to catch my attention, the vocal effort she put into hitting difficult notes was an antithesis to the fast paced afropop sound that women superstars like Yemi Alade, Teni, and Niniola were releasing. Though she just has a handful of released songs, the singer has quickly become one of her country’s shining stars with a voice that’s hard to resist.

Priya Ragu

With her family hailing from Sri Lanka and growing up in Switzerland, Priya Ragu fuses her Western influence with her South Asian origin and merges it into a cultural accumulation of traditional rhythms and contemporary R&B and soul. With Good Love 2.0 and Chicken Lemon Rice, she has released two feel-good songs – two odes to life. Spreading positive vibes, she aims to celebrate female empowerment and her passion for music. Priya Ragu talks with us about working together with her brother Jaffna Gold, meditation, food and the underrepresentation of different ethnicities in the music scene.

PinkPantheress

PinkPantheress (born 2001) is an English singer, songwriter, and record producer. In 2021, while attending university in London, she posted several songs to Tiktok that went viral, including "Break it off", and she subsequently signed to Parlophone and Elektra Records. Her singles "Pain" and "Just for Me" peaked in the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.
