Walt Disco October Shows
Walt Disco have shared a little about their inspiration ahead of their shows this month.
I’m obsessed with the art and music that’s coming out of Scotland right now. Everywhere you look, young people are creating incredible art. I jump at any opportunity to work with the people that inspire me. The cover for our latest release ‘Dancing Shoes Won’t Fix My Mind’ was shot by Dylan Moore, a photographer and filmmaker that celebrates other queer artists. I love working with him so much, in fact, we’ve just finished a music video that he directed and it is so beautiful. TAAHLIAH is another artist from Glasgow that I’m obsessed with and I still can’t get over how good their remix of Dancing Shoes is, who also featured in the video wearing the most stunning pink dress, styled by Glaswegian drag artist Shrek 666.
When choosing supports on this upcoming Scottish tour we were very keen for the supports to be local bands we love which included female and queer representation. Make sure to come down early to see Medicine Cabinet and swim school in Edinburgh, Echo Machine and Plasmas in Dundee, and The Homoromantics and Black Tiles in Aberdeen.
Walt Disco play The Mash House, Edinburgh on 17th October, Church, Dundee on 18th October and Cafe Drummond, Aberdeen on 19th October. CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS
