Beafets enter 2022 with the release of their new single, 'Falling Knives ', recorded at Castle Doom Studios with the ever-reputable producer Jamie Holmes. ‘Falling Knives’ seeks to proclaim hope in the midst of harder times; and succeeds as an anthem that can inspire listeners to see the best in a bad situation. The song is built around the mantra "Don't waste a crisis, it's not always like this" - a poignant a message that lands just in time for the return of live music and for crowds to sing this line back in unison. Last year saw Beafets release two singles, 'Open Letter' and 'Saturday Night Caesar’ to much acclaim; the former regularly featuring on 'Best Of' playlists for 2021.

Both tracks received support from ‘Trainspotting’ actor Robert Carlyle and were spun on BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio shows. The band also returned to the live scene in 2021 with a changed line-up, supporting The Howl & The Hum at Glasgow's King Tut's Wah Wah Hut. Beafets are looking to maintain this Momentum, having recently played their first headline show of the year at a sold out 13th Note in Glasgow. Keep an eye out for more announcements soon! ‘Bright hooks evoke the energetic charm of Biffy Clyro and Franz Ferdinand. The sparkling, radio-friendly intro casts an immediate spell... it won’t be long before Beafets join The Jesus and Mary Chain and Aztec Camera as East Kilbride’s greatest musical exports." – The Revue
