This Glaswegian five-piece specialise in emotive post-punk but strive to not limit themselves.
Experimentation is fundamental along with an abundance of unfiltered creativity and new ideas. In winter 2021, CEEFAX released their self-titled debut EP which was recorded at Black Bay Studio in Lewis. They followed this up with the release of their single 'Anoxic' in April 2022. Their releases comprise of four songs: each differing from the last. CEEFAX have delivered a concoction of soaring vocals, pulsing rhythm and reverb-drenched guitars which often lead to frenzied conclusions with relentless energy. The frenetic, interwoven riffs alongside the repetitive lyrical themes and metaphors recant stories of love lost and an intimate display of self-reflection. Since releasing their material, CEEFAX have been building on their momentum with a number of gigs under their belt. Most recently, they played Humour's EP launch and, with Freakender 2022 and Tenement Trail 2022, the future looks particularly bright. CEEFAX's material and live shows demonstrate a slick assurance which is largely unheard of for a band in their somewhat infancy.
