Over the past few years, Giant Rooks have successfully hit one milestone after the next – selling out shows of their tour in Germany, North America and Europe, performing on the world’s biggest festival stages and amassing hundreds of millions of streams.
Since forming the band in 2015, Frederik Rabe (vocals), Finn Schwieters (guitar), Luca Göttner (bass), Jonathan Wischniowski (keyboard) and Finn Thomas (drums), have taken the indie scene by storm with hits like “Wild Stare” and “Morning Blue.” Their debut album, Rookery (2020) has collected over 200 million streams and reached #3 on the German album charts. In 2022, the band released their biggest song to date, “Tom’s Diner,” in collaboration with AnnenMayKantereit, which charted globally and has been streamed over 3 billion times.
Giant Rooks now continue their journey with the announcement of their highly anticipated second album, How Have You Been?, which will be released on February 2nd , 2024. The album’s title poses a simple but thought-provoking question, setting a deep and sincere tone, which displays the band’s growth and a more mature sound. The tracks “Morning Blue,” “Bedroom Exile” and “Somebody Like You” have already been released and will be joined by the single, “For You,” which reveals whom Giant Rooks are making their music for and is set to become a fan favorite.
