Jamie Grey is a singer songwriter from Redcar, a seaside town in the Northeast of England. He has been capturing people's imagination with his emotionally driven powerful vocal delivery coupled with his melodic hooky songs. His style predominantly through use of acoustic guitar and piano is at the core singer/songwriter but he flirts in several sub genres from straight pop to folk, soul, as-well as RnB. Jamie predominantly is a balladeer however his influences mean that his songs can still range in tempo and feeling with the common thread being his emotional vocal style with raw lyrical nature. His first independent release in 2019 a piano ballad named 'Arms Around You' was instantly picked up by the editorial playlist on Spotify ‘Sad Songs’. It stayed at the top of the playlist for 8 months sitting next to the biggest sad sounding records in the world at the time and as a result his very first release has amassed over 12 million streams so far on Spotify alone. Jamie has since released several songs; his numbers and growing fan base speak for themselves, currently his music has been streamed over 50 million times. In 2023 Jamie did his First UK mini tour playing 3 sold out dates in Birmingham, Manchester and finishing at the 02 academy2 in Islington London. He currently has over 3 million combined monthly listeners across streaming platforms which continues to grow with every release. His music thus far has now amassed over 55 million streams, independently. Jamie this year has already released 9 new singles, with more new music on the way there really is no stopping him. Recent writing credits include the number one album ‘Bitter Sweet Love’ by James Arthur which Jamie co-wrote 9 songs on, and a previous song Jamie co-wrote for James Arthur ‘Falling Like The Stars’ has over half a billion streams on Spotify.
