Scottish band, The Katuns, hailing from West Lothian, formed in the back half of 2019, under the name of their frontman, Adam Frame, to pose as a backing band for his solo career. After wanting to take his solo operation further, he was joined by friends, Declan Fisher (Bass); Declan Milne (Lead Guitar); Matt Collins (Drums); bagging them two support slots in the first half of 2020: The Lathums (King Tut's), and Shambolics (Saint Luke’s), both venues located in Scotland’s renowned city, Glasgow. These gigs shot the band right in the deep end of live performance right before the COVID-19 pandemic struck. Over lockdown, the group decided to scrap the solo artist’ alias and rename as 'The Katuns'. To introduce the public to their new identity, they posted a home-made cover version of The Kooks’ ‘She Moves in Her Own Way’, which caught the attention of thousands online, reaching a total of over 25,000 views on Twitter alone. This boosted the band into a position to release their first original song ‘Friend Like You’ in October of 2020 and instantly caught listeners and most notably attracting UK promoters This Feeling, who have included them on their Big In 2021 line-up. Now coming to the latter half of the year, The Katuns have no sign of stopping their progress and already working on new songs, new gigs, and new opportunities – with the hope of bringing loads of new tunes to the indie scene
