Seeing a meteoric rise through TikTok and the release of their singles ‘The Angler’ and ‘Stardog’ over lockdown, The Rills have emerged as a stand-out artist, hotly tipped for great things in 2021 and beyond

Championed by BBC Introducing as a keen one to watch, the band earned a spot on BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2021, debuting their to-be-released new single, ‘World Leader’.
Having brushed the shoulders of the UK’s underground circuit for years, including living stints in Sheffield and London, the band have returned to their hometown of Lincoln amid lockdown. Musically, The Rills play on the band’s trademarked thunderous rhythm section, led by lead singer Mitch Spencer, who is known for his quick-witted and ardent kitchen sink lyricism. The band are expecting to release a debut EP by Autumn 2021.
Beyond the band’s raucous musical talent, The Rills have established a core fanbase through TikTok, signifying a resilient determination to overcome a heavily disrupted live schedule, and in turn, pioneering new ways to reach out to fan bases through their relatable comedy and dynamic use of social media.
