Today, acclaimed singer-songwriter Tom Odell has announced details of his forthcoming 2024 UK &
EU tour that kicks off in March 2024. This will be Tom’s biggest UK & EU tour of Tom’s career to
date, and follows last week’s announcement of his highly-anticipated new album, Black Friday, set
for release on January 26 via UROK.
The tour kicks off in Glasgow, with support coming from Sofia Isella.
Tom has shared two snippets of the new record so far, with ‘Somebody Else’ that came alongside the
album announcement last week, and his latest single, the title track of the new album, ‘Black Friday’.
The single, ‘Black Friday’, was released last month and was one of the highest new entries of late in
the UK chart, propelling Tom into the top 100 most streamed artists in the world, with 2 million
streams in its first day alone, and 20 million streams to date. A haunting and undeniably relatable
ballad, ‘Black Friday’ is resonating in a major way, generating fan content on TikTok and 150 million
views on the platform. The visceral connection audiences are having with the song is palpable as
evidenced in this video of Odell performing the song in concert before its release. Tom gave a raw
performance of the song on Late Night With Seth Meyers last week – his return visit to the show
where he has performed multiple times.
Tom’s hit track ‘Another Love’ also struck viral gold in 2022, resulting in over 4M creates on TikTok,
over two billion streams, and placement on the Top 10 in the UK’s Official Chart and the U.S. Hot AC
Chart. The song also became an anthem in protest videos against the war in Ukraine.
